The leader of Fiji's National Federation Party Biman Prasad says the opposition should be included in plans for Fiji's recovery after Cyclone Winston.
Dr Prasad welcomed the government's plans for rebuilding the more than 30,000 homes which were damaged after the intense storm.
He repeated his call for joint parliamentary committees on housing, the sugar industry and other major issues affecting Fiji after the cyclone.
"The joint parliamentary committee would be the best way to keep the transparency, the accountability which is absolutely necessary while we go forward in rebuilding the lives of people."
Biman Prasad said there had been a lack of accountability and co-ordination in some of the government's relief efforts so far.
